Job Details:
High School/GED JOB REQUIREMENTS Education High school education or equivalent. Must have completed or be currently enrolled in an approved food service management course or have 5 years of experience in food service management or have 2 years of college majoring in food and nutrition. Certified dietary manager preferred. Chef Team Leader preferred to be a graduate of a Culinary School or a certified chef. Experience None. (See in lieu of education.) Food service supervisory experience in a hospital food service similar to SBRMC preferred. Physical Normal hospital environment. Occasional exposure to heat, steam and cold. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing within normal range. Distinguish smells and tastes. Distinguish temperature by touch and proximity. Uses telephone, computer, copier and department equipment. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. Frequent standing, walking and reaching. This is a safety sensitive position. JOB SUMMARY The Team Leader in Nutrition Services is a member of the administrative team that provides high quality meals to all customers within budgeting guidelines. Is responsible for coordinating area functions with other areas to maintain an efficient operation with quality outcomes. Supervises the staff in area and assures compliance with hospital policies and procedures, missions and standards. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment.
